Dear IEEE members,
Happy and blessed New Year!
I would like to announce you that EN’s first meeting is going to take place on January 22, 4pm at the New Campus of the University of Cyprus (specific room to be announced at a later time).
In our meeting we are going to have the following:
· Greetings from the IEEE Cyprus Section Chair, Mr Panayiotis Symeou and the IEEE Region 8 Director-Elect 2013-2014, Mr Costas Stasopoulos,
· Short presentation of EN’s goals and objectives by EN’s Temporary Chair, Anastasia Georgouli,
· Discussion between the participants in the meeting in order to write down additional ideas to be taken into account in the organization of our events and initiatives,
· Elections for the first year Executive Committee (EXCOM).
Regarding the first elections of EN’s EXCOM I would like you to send me an e-mail with your declarations of interest for the elections together with a pdf form of your CV by January 15. The composition of EN’s EXCOM is the following: Chair, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Program Director. Any additional EN’s members – volunteers will have the opportunity to take part in the EXCOM’s monthly meetings and help as much actively as they wish in order to meet EN’s goals and to implement the organization of our events and initiatives.
Additionally to EXCOM’s monthly meetings, the whole EN is going to have monthly meetings open to all members and other interested parts. In those meetings we are going to have EN relevant discussions and networking, talks by entrepreneurship related experts or workshops / days of training. The usual date of those meeting is going to be within the third week of each month and it is going to be announced each time in our LinkedIn Group webpage (EN).
Please note that only IEEE members with renewed membership state for 2013 will be entitled to participate in the EXCOM’s elections, thus I need you to send me together with your CV your IEEE membership number. The deadline for declarations of candidacy is 12 noon on January 15, 2013.
