The IEEE Cyprus Section is looking to create an Entrepreneurs’ Network (EN) to encourage entrepreneurship in IEEE designated fields in Cyprus. EN’s main objective is networking between IEEE members in Cyprus who are interested in entrepreneurship, from which possible cooperation and startups may come up. Monthly meetings will take place in the presence of the EN’s Executive Committee (Chair, Vice Chairperson, Secretary and Program Director) and any other IEEE members or non-members concerned in the Network’s goals and interests. Professionals who by education or experience give evidence of competence in an IEEE designated field (Engineering, Computer Sciences and Information Technology, Physical Sciences, Biological and Medical Sciences, Mathematics, Technical Communications, Education, Management, Law and Policy) will be encouraged to join IEEE and participate in the EN. We are looking to have the first meeting within the next month in order to vote for the EN’s Executive Committee and discuss about how we are going to continue with this effort. In the meantime, we would like to hear from interested IEEE members and ask you to forward this announcement to any other professionals you have in mind in the fields mentioned above that may like to get involved in the EN.
