Netsmart is inviting applications from IEEE members for a paid software engineering internship position at its headquarters in Nicosia.
Netsmart is a B2B mobile payments enabler. Utilising our long-standing relationships with mobile carriers worldwide, we provide direct carrier billing services to some of the biggest online merchants, such as Facebook, Riotgames, Badoo, and Wargaming. Our competitive advantages include the ability to quickly tailor solutions to the merchant’s need thanks to our custom-built highly reliable technology platform. We also provide local compliance and regulatory assistance, being a one-stop-shop for merchants wanting to monetize their services.
The candidates must be enrolled in an undergraduate or postgraduate computer-science-related program of studies in a local higher education institution, have basic programming knowledge in any language, and speak English or Greek.
The internship will start in August or September and last between 4 and 6 weeks.
The working hours will be either full time 09:00-18:00 with 1 hour break, or part-time 4 hours per day, to be discussed with the successful candidate.
The remuneration will be €50 euro per week for part-time and €100 per week for full-time internships.
We offer the opportunity to work along side our experienced engineers on interesting tasks applicable to a real-world modern payments platform and gain valuable workplace experience and domain-specific knowledge. We use technologies and languages including PHP7, MySQL, queues and caches, continuous integration and testing, and automated server provisioning.
